I don’t do agentic a.i. much since the local language models seem to perform about equally well as generalists. When I do an agentic a.i. I just write it up as a bash script. Some models, e.g. gemma are better at writing ads, others e.g. codellama are better at writing code, some may also be better at financial analysis (plutus e.g.). So in theory i can use agentic and did write a couple bash scripts for agentic stock analysis and agentic natsec analysis. I just don’t think agentic is all that. But everyone else does and manus is certainly popular recently, but first some free ebooks if you like 5* them book reviews help. Agentic will get big when it is used in combination with an AI enabled browser, which btw perplexity is working on!

Using AI coding and crowdsourcing. This is one example of what i mean by the ai revolution. I wrote a word processor that supports editing via local llm ai in .. a couple hours, at most. This is why we get video models like wan, for a great example. You now have the tools to 10x your productivity if you just know even roughly what you are doing.

Paywalls and LLM AI

Interestingly, in my various nefarious activities I have NOT been successful at using llm ai to subvert paywalls, at least not yet! The problem with this sort of black hat testing is … it is literally illegal! So I don’t want to get TOO crazy and oh idk code a bruteforcer to password blast my way through a given paywall — that IS a crime and god knows I never break laws! So mostly I’ve been asking e.g. perplexity.ai to give me a non-paywalled version, and it just invents content. I have NOT tried using lynx, which IS my go-to for manual unpaywalled version. Often, (not always) major media provides a free version for lynx because lynx is used by blind people. That’s not me, not yet anyway… so yeah, ask me why i know about assistive tech for the visually impaired :/

Still searching for a good Chinese typography image generator, they are improving so far WAN is the ONLY one that (without a Chinese phone number…) generates half-decent Chinese typography.
